Having consulted in two of Australia’s largest banks, Mel Wright (Zest’s founder) grew tired of seeing unhappy, frustrated clients. Mortgages aren’t that difficult, you just need people who care.
As a mother of two boys and business owner, Mel understands that life today is busy. That's why Mel's mission is to help people get the financing they need, without the stress. David holds a Diploma in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southern Queensland. Prior to joining Zest Mortgage Solutions with Mel, David was a practising Lawyer, after having previously worked for over 15 years’ in Business Management. David’s role is to help Mel run the business side of Zest Mortgage Solutions, along with providing a point of contact for all of Zest’s business partners.
Amanda plays a crucial role in supporting Mel and is the primary contact for the team at Zest. With over 20 years in the finance industry, including extensive experience in pre-settlement verification with brokers, lenders, and solicitors, Amanda is a vital member of the team. She holds a Cert III in Business and a Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Brokering. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys baking and staying active with her two teenage boys.
Nikki has over 12 years experience in the finance industry with 10 years at ANZ, working as a Senior Personal Banker. For the last 2 years she has been in the mortgage broking industry as a loans processor. She holds a Diploma of Mortgage Broking (Management) and a Cert IV in Credit Management. Nikki lives with her family on their acreage property at Jimboomba.
Warren has over 24 years working in finance with the last 19 year being in Mortgage Broking. Through various roles in his career, he has been able to work with different finance professionals which has added to the knowledge and experience he can pass on to his clients. Warren holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Mortgage Broking). When not at work, Warren enjoys woodworking and creating his next piece of furniture.
Jake has over a decade of lending experience in Commercial and Agribusiness Banking with Australia’s biggest banks, working on everything from small home loan top ups to large farm purchases and business acquisitions. He moved into Mortgage Broking three years ago and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to benefit his clients. Jake grew up on a small property in Central QLD and loves getting away on weekends and sitting back with a neat whiskey.
With 23 years of banking expertise and over 6 years of in-depth broker CRM experience, Joanna is passionate about helping Zest's clients get the right loan for their needs and busy lifestyle. She also holds a Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Brokering and is a Commission for Declarations. When she is not busy helping our clients, you will find her out 4WDing or camping with her family.
Ashleigh holds a Diploma in Business Administration along with a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Brokering. Coming from a conveyancing background, she has the knowledge and skills to support clients in their home buying journey. Whether you are looking to refinance, purchase your first home, or achieve your next financial milestone - Ashleigh will strive to help you achieve your goal!
Alana has over 14 years working in Suncorp across various lending roles, with a Cert III in finance. She has a zest for lending and loves helping clients reach their goals of owning their home, while having the right loan product for them. She especially loves guiding first home buyers through their first purchase.When at home she has 2 young kids to keep her on her toes.
Charlene brings over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, 7 of those as a Home Loan Specialist in major banks. After coming out of banking, Charlene is now diving into the world of mortgage broking. Charlene’s goal is to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, so Zest clients enjoy a seamless and stress-free home loan experience. Charlene lives locally in Jimboomba and enjoys spending her free time with her 3 energetic boys.
Katrina leads all aspects of our marketing and communications to keep clients informed and connected. Having been with Zest for over three years, she has built strong relationships with clients and enjoys being a friendly point of contact for any questions. Living locally, Katrina loves spending time outdoors with her family, getting lost in a good book, and is often busy with a new renovation project at home.

If you do have the pleasure of speaking with Jane, rest assured you are in great hands with her ability to assist you. Jane sometimes refers to her last name as Thompson, we are not sure why.
